Led by the Engineering and Technology department and in collaboration with the plant's technical staff, the Structural Repair for Engineers Composite Structure course was given in Alestis Seville to 6 students from the French Air Force, 4 military personnel belonging to the group of "structure specialists" for the A400M at Air Base 123 Orléans-Bricy, and 2 military personnel with the profile of structural repair designers, located in Clearmont-Ferrand. The objective: to review and acquire more in-depth knowledge on specific issues of composite structure repairs, an area in which Alestis is a pioneer.
The course consisted of 2 modules, the first one of 30 hours of theory in which the specific principles of the A400M and the selection of materials are shared. In addition, Airbus repair philosophy, the repair procedures described in the Repair Manual and their limitations were also covered in depth. During the second training block of 30 hours, different types of repairs were carried out following the indications of the Manual.
