Alestis participates in the Trade Mission to India

Alestis and Aciturri have participated in the trade mission of the aerospace sector in India from 8 to 11 May, promoted by TRADE agency (Business Agency for Transformation and Economic Development) of the Andalusian Government, with the support of governmental institutions in India, such as the commercial office of the Spanish Embassy in New Delhi and the governmental agency Invest India for promotion and investment.

This commercial expedition has been a first meeting point to get to know the current aerospace technological ecosystem in India and, at the same time, the main actors of this business in the country to know by first-hand the capabilities of the Andalusian aerospace sector.

During the mission, the main aerospace hubs (Bangalore, Hyderabad and Delhi) have been visited, having the possibility to contact directly with potential customers such as TATA Advanced System (awarded the contract to manufacture 40 C295 aircraft for the Indian Ministry of Defence), Hindustan Aeronautics HAL (OEM aerospace tractor in the defence field), SAFRAN engines, electrical & power or GMR Aerotechnic (first level airport and MRO manager and awarded the contract for the conversion of the Boeing fleet to freighters for Asia), as well as potential partners and suppliers, such as Mahindra Aerospace or Dynamatics.

India is experiencing an 8% annual increase in air traffic, which is conducive to the acquisition of new aircraft, the increase in MRO cargo (15% annual growth) and therefore, the need to strengthen its aerospace industry with strategic partners in the sector, among which Alestis and Aciturri are well positioned.
