Alestis Aerospace's commitment with society come to shape in the form of the development and promotion of initiatives focused on improving the quality of life of the people in the community where we operate by means of acts of sponsorship, patronage, and other forms of collaboration.
We are conscious of the impact that our activity has on the environment. In this sense, no promise to carry out sustainable company practices, which respect our surroundings, with our obligation being to minimize the impact of our activity, manage waste effectively, conserve and economize energy and other resources.
In recent years, Alestis Aerospace has developed the following Corporate Social Responsibility actions:
We sponsored the ARUS Andalucía Racing team, the first team in Andalusia to take part in Formula Student Spain. The team from the Universidad de Sevilla was in charge of the design and manufacturing of two single-seating cars for the best-known university car competition around the world, which took place in the tracks at Assen (Netherlands), Hockenheim (Germany), and Montmeló (Spain).
Spanish Red Cross
Since 2015, we have asked employees’ children aged 3 through 14 to submit drawings to be shown on Alestis’s Christmas cards for customers and suppliers. In 2019, we linked the contest to the Spanish Red Cross “No Children without Toys” campaign. This meant that, for each submitted drawing, Alestis donated €15 to buy toys for children from underprivileged families. This year’s motto was “One Christmas card = One toy”, and that is why this edition was named “Draw their Christmas”. We received a total of 161 entries, which means we donated €2,415 to the local offices of the Spanish Red Cross in Vitoria, Madrid, Cadiz, and Seville.
After signing the collaboration agreement with Afanas El Puerto and Bahia, we welcomed young people between 16 and 30 years of age, with a mild intellectual disability and a high level of autonomy, who were unemployed, so that they could carry out internships in companies through the "Program of Training and Labor Orientation for people with intellectual disabilities".
MARGENES Y VíNCULOS foundation
Through the I Edition of Espacio Común we donated an amount of € 12,000, destined, among other actions, to the recruitment, study and selection of welcoming families; follow-up of the children welcomed and of the welcoming families; evaluation and prognosis of the minor’s biological families and a classroom of permanent formation.
We signed a collaboration agreement with the Proyecto Hombre foundations Hombre: CES Seville, CES Jerez and Jeiki Vitoria, through which we assumed the costs of rehabilitation and social-labor reintegration of a person who is welcomed into any of the Proyecto Hombre programs, for a full year.
mother courage and solidarity impact
We consolidated our commitment to protecting the environment, through a Plan based on the Company's Environmental Policy and several collaborations with various NGOs in the field of waste collection, associations that acted directly as authorized waste managers or as intermediaries, establishing contracts with authorized final managers. The benefits obtained from carrying out these various diverse jobs were used for humanitarian work with Madre Coraje and Impacto Solidario.
