Within the framework of the intense commercial effort that has been developed, Alestis has been awarded a work package in the A220 program.
After a long and intense negotiation phase, where Alestis was fighting for the achievement of several work packages, Airbus has finally decided to assign them to three independent supply sources. Alestis will be in charge of manufacturing the elementals and subsets of the HTP for this program.
Alestis brings extensive experience and knowledge in the manufacture and assembly of this type of aerostructures in all Airbus models. In this particular case, although the end customer is Airbus Canada LP, the Alestis package is delivered to Leonardo, HTP integrator. Once the certification and industrialization activities have been completed, the first deliveries will be made in the second half of 2022.
The A220 family of aircraft is designed to meet the demand for smaller single aisle models, specifically for the 100 to 150 seat segment and is led by Airbus' partnership with the Government of Quebec. Currently the backlog of the program is more than 500 aircraft.
