Alestis’s Management Committee presented last February 12th the priorities of our Company for this year 2018, during the celebration of the Annual Conference that, in this occasion, took place in the auditorium of the Aerópolis Business Center.
Javier Díaz Gil, our Company’s CEO, opened the session taking stock of the results obtained by Alestis during the past year, this being the first one in which our Company has obtained black numbers in both the national factories and in Brazil.
Within this analysis, the Management Committee presented the conclusions of the assessment of the essentials of 2017 from the data obtained. The overall rating was closed with the “Objectives Reached,” which reflects the evolution we have suffered during the past year as well as how beneficial this has been for our Company.
According to the Management Committee, “the year 2017 has been particularly positive for ALESTIS with a record in the group’s sales of more than 286 million Euros and an EBIT of 10 million Euros, an improvement of more than 13 million in relation to the year 2016. Cash flow generated by operations, net of investments, was also positive for an amount greater than 14 million. At the operational level, the Company has accomplished the requirements of its various clients outstandingly, in particular, the A350 XWB program, which includes ALESTIS as one of the main suppliers of the airplane aero structures.”
The event continued with a review of the results of the Labour-Climate Survey, from which in relation to the data obtained from the one made in 2015, an increase in both the participation rate and employee commitment was extracted.
Digitization occupied a relevant place during the entire appointment. We presented the digital strategy that is being carried out in our Company and with which we intend to get Alestis to become, in a period of two to three years, a leading digital provider in the sector. For this, three key points were identified as necessary: the increase of our capacity for innovation, an increase in our efficiency and the search for business opportunities within the field of digitalization.
In the last part of the session, the attendees could enjoy Rafael Tentor, who focused his presentation on the characteristics of the military market, taking into account the evolution of the A400M through his experience as top head of Airbus Defense & Space; and Juan Martínez Barea, Founder and CEO of “Universal DX”, who reinforced the relevance of incorporating technologies in companies with his presentation on “Leadership and The Future”.
The journey ended with the presentation by the Steering Committee of the essential objectives for this year 2018, oriented towards the need to continue improving economic and financial results in order to comply with the repayment of the debt as of 2021 in accordance to the Viability plan. Undoubtedly, 2017 has been a great year for our Company. We keep growing.
