We consolidate our presence in Aerospace & Defense Meetings (ADM)
One more year, our Company did not want to miss the biennial meeting that takes place in Seville and that manages to bring together the most relevant companies in the current aeronautical sector.
This edition, held from May 15 to 18 at Palacio de Congresos of the city of Seville, focused on innovation and supply chains, which is why José Antonio Veroz, Purchasing and Supply Chain Director of Alestis made a presentation about innovation as a cornerstone of digital transformation.
The event, organized by the Ministry of Economy and Knowledge through Extenda-Andalusian Agency for Foreign Promotion and BCI Aerospace, brought together a total of 1,221 professionals from 375 companies from 28 countries.
Sergio Munguía, Business Development Manager of our Company, recounts his experience at the fair: “It was my first ADM and I was surprised by the large number of companies with representation and booths, as well as the possibilities of B2B and its proper organization. As I understand it, this fair has established itself as the third one in the sector in Europe together with Le Bourget and Farnborough.
I believe that Alestis as a reference of the Tier 1 aeronautical structures in Spain, should be at and promote this fair as it has done.
Despite the fact that the sector is going through an unstable moment where there are not many new developments, it has been an interesting meeting point, both with suppliers and with clients, making progress in possible collaborations in the short and medium term.
All the contacts maintained and the possible collaborations, either with clients or with other companies in the complementary sector, have been highly beneficial for the Company.
The notoriety and relevance provided by the participation and sponsorship in this contest is something that I consider highly beneficial.
On the other hand, the presence of women in the aeronautical sector took centre stage on the second day, with a networking meeting for the professionals of the sector, organized by the International Association of Women of Aviation (IAWA) at the stand of the Board of Andalusia. This meeting served for the recent Association of women born in Alestis, WAT, to get in touch with the IAWA leaders.
Undoubtedly, ADM has become a crucial action for the Andalusian aerospace sector. Andalusia is the leading community in Spain in exports, with 3,293 million Euros in 2017.
We participated in the I Edition of Aerospace Meetings Brazil 2018
Sao Jose dos Campos hosted the celebration of the Aerospace Meetings Brazil 2018 on June 19, 20 and 21, to which our Company attended as a participating company.
More than 300 companies from 25 countries gathered at this meeting, which aimed at positioning the Brazilian industry in the strategy of the global supply chain of manufacturers, helping Brazilian companies to find partners and investing in the most appropriate local fields, boosting the commercial sales capabilities of Brazilian manufacturers as well as supporting the development of initiatives of Brazilian companies always in connection with foreign companies.
Carlos Daluz, Director of the Alestis do Brasil Plant, summarizes the experience of our participation in the following way: “Alestis do Brasil has considered this event relevant in the structuring of a global group strategy and, although this fair is of smaller dimension than Fairs such as Le Bourget and Farnborough, is a great opportunity from a point of view of:
- Intensifying contact with the local supply chain.
- Selecting of new cooperation possibilities and advance in the knowledge of new trends and market developments.
- Analysis of the competition.
- Strengthening of ties with strategic customers.
Within that framework, throughout the three days of the event, we received the visit of Boeing. This fact has undoubtedly been a great opportunity to show the industrial capabilities and competitiveness of Alestis do Brasil before a possible future cooperation in the environment of the recent strategic movements between two crucial players in the global aeronautical sector (Boeing and Embraer). Our plant, has indeed come out strengthened with a highly positive feedback that enables us for future challenges in the development of Boeing’s supply chain in the Americas. Equally noteworthy is the plant tour conducted by Mr. Rafael Blanco (Senior Manager of Embraer Supply Chain) who was very interested in the potential of our Company.
In short, these initiatives reinforce me in my conviction to be part of a solid project, with a future and a great potential for growth; they represent the verification of the implementation of a global strategy that should lead Alestis to a leading role in the coming years.”
We attended Farnborough International Airshow 2018 (FIA)
Alestis participated in FIA 2018 through Extenda-Andalusian Agency for Foreign Promotion, which brought together various Andalusian companies under its umbrella with the aim of supporting them to improve their position in international markets.
The aeronautical fair extended between July 16 and 22 and was one of the most international in its history, with the participation of companies from more than 52 countries.
